M5’s IP phone system is a complete managed service, delivering full-featured business telephony directly to each handset. M5 allows you to have an enterprise grade business telephone system without having to purchase and maintain a PABX.
The M5 IP Phone System does not require a PABX or phone lines to be installed; instead the service is provided via a private IP connection between your office and M5.
The maximum lead-time required for the private IP connection to be installed is approximately 30 days.

Prior to installation your LAN will need to be prepared for the service, M5’s team will assist your IT team in this process.
Your existing numbers can be ported to the new service. Whilst the carriers charge M5 for porting your numbers M5 will ensure your mainline numbers are ported at no cost (dependant on the carrier). Number porting can take a number of weeks and confirmation of a porting requirement should be made as soon as practicable. If the porting does not take place at the time of installation M5 will arrange for exchange based diversions to ensure no interruption of service, but you will be faced with redirection fees from your carrier.
Choosing the proper network design and equipment is critical to the quality of your M5 service. Below is an overview of the benefits and disadvantages of each option to guide your decision making. In addition, we recommended consulting your IT personnel for specific LAN recommendations.
